February is a Fabulous Time to Feed the Birds
In 1994, February was established as National Bird Feeding Month to encourage people to discover the joy of bird feeding during a season when birds may struggle to find natural food sources.

The GBBC is a joint project of Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society, Birds Canada and is sponsored by Wild Birds Unlimited. This citizen science project connects bird lovers around the globe to observe and record data on more than 7,000 bird species. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations.
